Reiki
I qualified as a Reiki Master in 2003 having been intrigued when during massage, several clients said I had "healing hands". I decided to find out more! The word Reiki stands for Universal Life Energy (pronounced "ray-key") and is one of the oldest healing methods known to mankind. It originated from Tibet but was rediscovered in the nineteenth century by a Japanese monk named Dr Mikao Usui.
It is an ancient energy healing method, suitable for all. Put simply, we all hold energy or life force within our bodies, but this can be depleted throughout our daily living or from illness or psychological stresses. Once this energy is low, we can feel physically, mentally and spiritually low. Reiki is a therapy which can help you to absorb more life energy and achieve balance. It is performed whilst you lie on a massage couch fully clothed, and involves the placing of hands on or near to the body to rebalance energy. It is used to treat mind, body and spirit and increases vital energy to achieve balance. It affects each person differently, but always acts wherever the receiver needs it most. Clients can often feel heat or a tingling sensation, and I’ve never known a client not to feel deeply relaxed!

Distance or Virtual Reiki
Distance Reiki is an amazing treatment if you are unable to receive visits to your home, as a top-up between sessions or because you live outside my area of travel! Healing is received by you regardless of your location. Prior to your appointment a consultation will be completed via video call or Zoom to establish how your treatment will best work for you, and then whilst you are making yourself comfortable either sitting or lying down (in a place where you will not be disturbed for 30 minutes) I will be preparing for your treatment. You may wish to light a candle and play some relaxing music, whatever is your preference. I may sometimes use crystals during the session, if this is of interest to you. You may fall asleep, feel some heat or vibration during the session, but you do not need to seek to feel anything in particular. After the session, whenever you are ready, a quick message or email to let me know how you feel will be most welcome! I can then give you some feedback from your session.

Virtual Chakra Reflexology
An amazing treatment for times when you are unable to receive visits to your home, as a top-up between sessions or because you live outside my area of travel! Virtual Chakra Reflexology is a mixture of Reflexology and Reiki which works on the chakras of the body, mapped out on the foot in the same way as the body systems. Prior to your appointment a consultation will be completed via Zoom or video call to establish how your treatment will proceed and then whilst you make yourself comfortable and warm, lying down somewhere that you won’t be disturbed for the duration of the session, I will prepare for the treatment. You may wish to light a candle and play some relaxing music, whatever is your preference. You may fall asleep, feel some heat or vibrations during the session, but you do not need to seek to feel anything in particular. Just relax! After the session, whenever you are ready, a quick message or email to let me know how you are feeling will be most welcome. I can then give you some feedback from your session!

Hand Reflexology Tutorial Via Zoom
An amazing treatment for times when you are unable to receive visits to your home, as a top-up between sessions or because you live outside my area of travel! Hand Reflexology allows us to work on the systems of the body, mapped out on the hand in the same way as the foot. Prior to your appointment a consultation will be completed via Zoom. You may wish to light a candle and play some relaxing music, whatever is your preference. During the session I will show you a personalised hand reflexology routine which you can use for yourself to work on at home! All you will need is a small towel, some hand cream or oil, and a notebook and pen.
The benefits of Hand Reflexology are the same as those of Foot Reflexology and can include;
